Finding a Job in Morocco: A Practical Guide for 2025
Where to look, who to talk to, and what to expect when searching for a job in Morocco today.
The major Moroccan job boards
Rekrute, ReKrute Maroc, Anapec, Emploi.ma, Bayt, and LinkedIn dominate the Moroccan market. Set up profiles on at least three, with daily alerts for your target roles. Bayt and LinkedIn pull in many international and Gulf opportunities too.
Anapec and public-sector concours
Anapec is the national employment agency and remains a useful channel, especially for entry-level and trade roles. For public-sector jobs, monitor official portals for concours announcements and prepare months in advance — competition is fierce.
Where the hiring is concentrated
Casablanca remains the financial and corporate capital. Rabat is strong for public sector and institutions. Tangier and Kenitra concentrate automotive and industrial roles. Marrakech and Agadir are tourism-heavy. Choose your geography deliberately.
Sectors that are growing
Offshoring and BPO, automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, fintech and digital banking, software engineering, and tourism are all hiring actively in 2025. Tech salaries in Morocco have risen sharply over the past three years.
The role of language
French remains the corporate lingua franca. English is now required in tech, offshoring serving the UK and US markets, and many multinationals. Spanish is valuable in the north. Improving your language skills often returns more than another certification.
Networking, the Moroccan way
Personal introductions still carry significant weight. Alumni networks from major engineering and business schools (EMI, ENSIAS, INPT, ENCG, ISCAE, HEM, Al Akhawayn) open many doors. Attend industry meetups; LinkedIn warm intros work.
Salary expectations
Salaries vary widely by sector, language profile, and city. Research salary benchmarks on Bayt and Rekrute before any interview. Be prepared to discuss net ("net mensuel") rather than gross, and to discuss benefits separately.
Interview etiquette
Dress formally, arrive early, bring printed CVs, and prepare to be interviewed in French and possibly English. Expect a mix of technical and behavioral questions, and be ready to discuss why you want this specific role at this specific company.
